26 men came to our Curry and Quiz Night held on Friday 10th May. Several men (including at least one woman!) worked behind the scenes regarding the cooking and catering arrangements. Serveral men assisted in the serving of the meal. At least 2 women assisted by beinging their husbands and collecting them afterwards. 2 men worked together to provide the Quiz which had 7 categories, ending with Bible Knowledge.
Our Minister, Richard Burfoot, was our Quizmaster, leading the men through the quiz, encouraging banter and breaking into song. Richard ended the evening with a short epilogue. He emphasised that the name of Jesus means “Saviour” but asked, “Do we allow Him to be Lord of our lives?”
Afterwards, several of the men asked when the next Quiz would be and we can confirm we are planning a “Chicken and Chips Quiz Night” to be held in the Autumn.
Our next West Cliff Men’s Fellowship Breakfast will be on Saturday 22nd June, when Peter Gladwin will be speaking on the subject, “Out of the Ashes”. We want as many man as possible to come to this event, so please start telling your friends about it.
If you want any more information about our Men’s Fellowship, please feel free to contact David Edwards at email address: email@example.com or ask Les Wint, Peter Coleman, Colin Tichmarsh, or Billy who are responsible for planning future events and prayer times.
